My Bakery Story

To tell you a little about my traveling bakery, I'll start by telling you that my name is Isabel Cristina, I'm from Venezuela, I studied Public Accounting at the Catholic University Andrés Bello, in my country. My friends joked and told me that it would most likely end baking cookies. Well, a few years after graduating I decided to go to Spain where besides studying a Hotel and Restaurant Management program, I completely immersed myself in my passion for the bakery. I worked in French Pastry Shops and assisted to some Pastry Shows, in Paris, Rímini, and Düseldorf, always aiming to open my bakery.

I returned to Venezuela in 2008, with the idea of ​​starting a Project of pastry and chocolate called Lebongú with my great friend and Argentine Cook Fabián Castello and my wonderful supportive mom. What Lebongú means?... is the union of the sounds in French "Le Bon goût", "El Buen Gusto" in Spanish, and "The Good Taste" in English. We opened a little bakery and chocolatier in Mérida, Venezuela. All truly handmade including the remodeling of the store. Probably, you are a “Do-it-yourself” inside of you, like us!

Now, with more than 10 years of progressive experience in the field of confectionery in Spain and Venezuela, we are relocated to SWFL building a new life, creating a new beginning. We appreciate that you select our creations to surprise your loved ones and to accompany you in your events and celebrations.
